Every October since 2000, the students, faculty, staff, administration, and parents of Texoma Christian School (TCS) have participated in the school’s annual Care-A-Thon, a cooperative program that involves the city of Sherman and surrounding communities.
At the beginning of each year, TCS teachers, parents and students begin to identify their service project. After gaining the support and financial help of businesses, families and friends, groups of students and teachers start to spread across Grayson County and spend hundreds of hours working to demonstrate the love of Christ and to meet the specific needs of individuals and organizations.
Some of the past service projects involved preparing Thanksgiving baskets for those in need, delivering gift packets to hospital patients, doing yard work and cleanup for local centers, providing food and personal items for local food banks/shelters and delivering meals for Meals on Wheels.
