Summer at TCS offers a variety of  specialty camps to meet the interests and desires of every child. With fine arts and athletics camps offered your child will leave feeling inspired, motivated, and ready for more.

 

Texoma Christian School Summer Camps 2024

 

Baseball/Softball Camp

For Incoming 2nd-9th grade students

Monday-Thursday; June 3rd-6th

TCS Baseball/Softball fields 9:00 am-11:00 am

Coaches: Chris Reed and Brian Wingfield

$90 per player

Baseball and softball camps are designed to give participants the opportunity to develop and improve fundamentals. We will be covering all skills including: throwing, catching, hitting, base running, pitching and game-like situations.

 

Football Camp:

For Incoming 2nd-9th grade boys

Monday-Thursday; June 10th-13th

TCS Football fields 9:00 am-11:00 am

$90 per player

Football camp is designed to give participants the opportunity to develop and improve football fundamentals of passing, catching, and kicking. The camp stresses offensive route running, defense technique in pass defense and pursuit angles as well as teamwork and sportsmanship. Football camp is for players at all levels of experience, from beginners to advanced.

 

Mini Art Camp:

For Ages 5-14

Monday-Thursday; June 17th-20th

TCS Art Room 9:00 am-11:00 am

$100 per student

Let’s find art in God’s world around us! In this class we will explore art that goes beyond the pencil and paintbrush. In mixed media, we will customize items to express ourselves and make them our own! Students can make colorful mixed media paintings and drawings, including watercolor, pastel, colored pencil, colored ink and more!

 

Mini Cheer Camp:

For Girls Ages 5-10

Monday-Wednesday; June 17th-19th

TCS Gym: 1:00 pm-3:30 pm

Coach: Anne Turner

$70 per student

At camp, the girls will learn motions, jumps, cheers, chants, and a dance as well as basic stunting. All of this will be taught by our TCS Middle School and Varsity Cheerleaders. Mini cheer participants will have a chance to perform at a home football game.

 

Basketball Camp:

For Incoming 2nd-9th grade students

Monday-Thursday; June 24th-27th

TCS Gym:

Boys Camp: 9:00 am-11:00 am

Girls Camp 12:00 pm-2:00 pm

Coaches: Nate Langenbahn and Brian Wingfield

$90 per student

Basketball camp is designed to give participants an opportunity to develop and improve basketball fundamentals. The camp stresses shooting, passing, ball handling, rebounding, defense as well as teamwork and sportsmanship.

 

Full  Art Camp:

For Ages 8-14

Monday-Thursday; June 24th-27th

TCS Art Room 9:00 am-2:00 pm

Teacher: Debbie Wade

$180 per student

Morning Session-Cartooning: We will learn about how some of our favorite characters are brought to life. This class focuses on creating a character and learning how to draw the face and body to express emotion and movement.Students will have the opportunity to create thor own comic strip. This is a must for aspiring artists!

Lunch: Please send lunch with your camper each day.

Afternoon Session-Water Colors: Students will learn all about water coloring and water painting. They will finish four watercolor art works during the week.

Tennis Skills Camp:
Monday-Friday; July 8th-12th

8:00-10:00 a.m. for incoming 2nd-6th grade students
6:00-8:00 p.m. for incoming 7th-12th grade students
Tennis Camp will seek to provide a beginning foundation of essential tennis skills necessary to compete in an actual game.  It will also provide skills to older students to help take their performance beyond the beginning level of tennis competition.
(July 1st is cut off for t-shirt.)
Speed and agility Camp:
Monday-Friday; July 15th-19th

8:00-10:00 a.m. for incoming 2nd-6th grade students
6:00-8:00 p.m. for incoming 7th-12th grade students
Speed and Agility Camp will provide a basic foundation to improve athletic performance in all sports.  Drills will focus on enhancing athletic movement in areas of quickness and change in direction movements.
(July 8th is cut off for t-shirt)

This is a preview of the full week camps. It will contain a sample of drills and activities. These drills seek to maximize athletic performance in students of all ages.
Advanced Speed and Agility Camp:

This camp moves beyond a beginning level and calls for more advanced understanding of athletic movement as it builds on the skills in the basic speed and agility camp.(July 15th is cut-off for t-shirt)

Campers will receive a T-Shirt at each camp
All Campers must bring their own water bottle
